Do you provide Halal certification for food grade?
Malan brand food grade sodium bicarbonate has held HFCI (Halal Food Council International) certification; renewal is in progress. Ask us for the current certificate status before you order — we confirm validity in writing before any food-grade shipment to a Muslim-majority market.
Is Halal certification about to become mandatory in Indonesia?
Yes. Indonesia's mandatory halal certification requirement for food, beverage and cosmetic products takes effect in October 2026 under Permendag regulations. If you import into Indonesia, ask us for our current Halal renewal status well ahead of that date so your shipments stay compliant.
Can your product be used for both baking and beverage applications?
Yes. Our food grade meets GB 1886.2 and is aligned with E500(ii) requirements. For beverage tablet applications, tell us your granulation requirement and we will match the mesh range.
How do you control heavy metals for food export?
Every production batch is tested for lead and arsenic before release. The batch COA travels with the shipment, and you can verify it online with the batch number printed on every bag.
What documents do you prepare for food import clearance?
Commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, certificate of origin (Form E / RCEP where applicable), health certificate and batch COA. We prepare Vietnamese and Indonesian food-import document sets routinely. Note that Indonesian BPOM registration is held by your local importer of record — we supply the manufacturer's authorization letter needed for that registration.
